Woody Allen has not taken 24 hours to come out of the controversial documentary series’ Allen v. Farrow ‘, which this Sunday launched the HBO platform and which affects the accusations against the film director for alleged sexual abuse of his daughter Dylan Farrow .
A representative for Allen , 85, and his wife, Soon-Yi Previn , 50, has issued a statement in which he criticizes the program as a “demolition job riddled with falsehoods” , according to the British ‘Daily Mail ‘.
Thus, Allen’s legal representative assures that the series gives a condemning image of the filmmaker and tendentiously shows the relationship he had with his young adoptive daughter Dylan Farrow and blames him for the separation with Mia .
“While poor quality work can attract attention, it does not change the facts,” the award-winning director’s statement added.

Woody Allen also assures that the creators of the fiction are simple “instruments” that have collaborated with Mia Farrow to create a sensationalist and scandalous work to ensure the media and audience success of the series.
To reaffirm his claim, the Oscar winner gives as an example the three-year contract signed in 2018 by Ronan Farrow , Mia’s son and investigative journalist, with the striming platform to produce films and documentaries.
“Unfortunately, it is not surprising that the network that will broadcast this is HBO, which has a permanent production contract and a business relationship with Ronan Farrow,” Allen said in his press release.
Recall that Ronan is an investigative journalist for ‘The New Yorker’ magazine, who won a Pulitzer Prize for his work uncovering allegations of sexual assault against movie mogul Harvey Weinstein.

Composed of four episodes, with home videos, contributions from some of those involved and especially with the testimony of Dylan Farrow , but in no case of Allen himself or Moses Farrow , very critical of the performance of his mother, ‘Allen v. Farrow ‘has been directed by Amy Ziering and Kirby Dick (‘ The Invisible War ‘, 2012).
Woody Allen and Mia Farrow were romantically involved for 12 years. At that time the actress already had seven children: three of them with the conductor André Previn, another three were adopted (including Soon-Yi Previn), and one more that she adopted on her own (Moses Farrow).
After starting his relationship with Allen , Farrow adopted a girl in 1985 (Dylan Farrow), and later the director accepted that this was his daughter like Moses. It was in August 1992, when Dylan Farrow , then 7 years old, claimed that Alle n had sexually abused her in the attic of her mother’s house in Connecticut (USA), accusations that Woody Allen has always denied and of the that he has not had to face judicially due to lack of evidence.
